7,000 children gained access to clean drinking water

We have previously shared that one of our ongoing aid programs is providing access to quality drinking water. At the beginning of the year, we received 13 requests for the installation of water purification systems (WPS) from Ukrainian institutions attended by children.

For eight months, we worked through complex logistical and technical processes, and we can finally boast that 7,000 children have gained access to clean drinking water, even during wartime.

Unfortunately, one of the institutions where we had previously installed a WPS was destroyed as a result of enemy shelling. Luckily, no one was injured. Amazingly, the station survived, and at the request of the institution, we will dismantle it and store it until the building is restored.

During bombing in the area of another institution, the water supply was damaged, so the station there is currently non-operational as well. However, we remain hopeful!

In total, we invested 3,284,187 UAH into the water purification systems, their installation, and maintenance – or more precisely, into the health of the children. Many thanks to all the donors from Austria for the clean water! https://www.global2000.at/

By the way, during the coordination and reporting process, New Humanitarian Post accompanied us throughout. Thanks to free shipping, we saved funds for future good deeds! Thank you!

The program exists thanks to the financial support of the City of Vienna.
