Our Partner – Public Organization “Union of Large Families”

Various studies point to the fact that one of the big problems that already exists and will intensify in Ukraine is the demographic crisis.

Kateryna Dubovyk, the founder and head of the public organization “Union of Large Families”, spoke about her thoughts related to this topic.

Kateryna is a mother of three boys, so she knows very well how difficult it might be for parents and adolescents in a large family. That is why she organized a community of large families around her. This is because support, especially in difficult times, is the most important thing.

🌠The public organization “Union of Large Families” has been working towards its goal for 5 years: to prove that Ukraine needs large families whose children will eventually work for the good of the country.

“Being a mom is the most difficult job in the world, where there are no vacations, weekends, or regular schedules. It is difficult, especially during wartime. Our union supports families in every possible way,” says Kateryna.

While parents are trying to raise their families on their own — the state is not taking any special part in this yet — the public organization “Union of Large Families” takes care of almost 400 children, 70 of whom have diabetes.

Organization’s work includes the following:

✅organizing educational and festive events;

✅legal, psychological, and informational assistance;

✅humanitarian support during the war.

Parents themselves also help in the development of the community. “Someone received a consultation and shared it with the newcomers. Someone helped unload the humanitarian truck. This means that our community is getting stronger and will expand,” Kateryna rejoices.

On its part, the “Global 2000 for the Children of Ukraine” Fund supported the Union of Large Families in 2022, in particular by providing food baskets and welcoming the children with New Year’s gifts.
