Lev and his sister Alina returned to Kharkiv in October. Once, he and his parents were passing by the children’s center organized by A-help Ukraine volunteers and saw children with Hibiki stuffed toys. The family learned that there is a children’s place next door, where an international support program for children affected by the war is held. The psychologists told the brother and the sister about the Hibiki toy dog and invited them to attend the class.
While Alina came to the first class with pleasure, Lev entered the hall reluctantly. He had not communicated with his peers for a long time. Everything changed when the boy hugged the Hibiki toy and made new friends. The following classes became a pleasure for Lev.
Today, “children of war” joyfully wished each other happy holidays. Santa Claus handed over 203 gifts to children through the “Global2000 Children of Ukraine” Fund.
Fifty young visitors of the center received magic pillows while other residents of the district got sweet gifts.
The children, who barely spoke a few months ago, kept telling each other what pets they wanted to have at home, and how much they wanted to go to school when the war was over.
We hope that all these dreams come true!
